I've been thinking that it'd be neat if we could upload a picture to our profile. It is true that a majority of zone users are Visually impaired, but many of them still have some sight. It would be neat to put a face to the words we read. What do y'all think?
well for one thing pictures are quite large, and i thing it might slow downthe site. not saying i'm against it, just i wonder about how the site will run if you upload a large picture file.
apparently there was talk about it awhile ago, don't know how those talks were going, or who was in them, but they did happen, supposedly
I was going to create a board topic such as this one, but yeah I think this is a great idea. A profile wouldn't be a profile without a pic. Hopefully the Admins can come up with something concerning the size of the pics that you can uplaod into your profile.
Maybe perhaps they can have set pic size like for example if the site is pre-fixed to only upload pics that are 100 width x 100 height. Then it won't accept nothing else but that. Maybe something like that would work.
yeah this si a great idea, but what about those zoners who are totally blind or those who have sight, but it isn't good enought for them to see pictures and stuff. . Hope we get some good ideas for this.

i think it's cool. it would be nice to see pictures of the zoners when you click on there profile.
it could be optional because some people won't be able to do it but yes...i agree with you all
i was actually gonna make a bord like this too, i think it's an awsome idea, that way those zoners who can see can see a pic of there friends and what not...awsome idea here lets see ware it goes
I'm all for it, we got a voice right? Why not put that voice with a picture! Yes I'm totally blind but I have put up pictures before on other websites.

well, I was thinkinf of this too, and I have been suggesting it for a while, and I had considered, adding like a kind of box, for people to explain like what one picture looks like for those blind people who can't see the picture...so that you can go on descriptions...Still, it would require a bit of coding probably, but you guys got me, I'll either bring it up with Chris, or post a message to the staff list about it...no, I have a great idea! all of you PQN harp, and make him post a message about it to the staff list! Yeah!

no. Currently this site prides itself on being totally accessible to blind people, by putting pictures in, you are taking away part of that accessibility.
fThat's what sites like livejournal and myspace are for. I say let's use the bandwith hat would be used for pictures for allowing audio profiles to be in higher quality.
But y opinion is biest since I'm totally blind and could care less about pictures: still though, te last poster does have a point, and there are other sites where you can post your pictures for free.
Ya i think its a good idea. may be they could limit the size of the picture. then u will know who u r chatting with.
